Peter Sellers plays Hrundi V. Bakshi, a clutzy Indian actor, who is kicked off the set of a Hollywood movie in which he's little more than an extra anyway. By mistake, he gets invited to the director's lavish Hollywood party, where he stumbles his way around and wreaks havoc.
